go to account.live.com

click on 'your info' on the top menu

Click 'Manage how you sign in to Microsoft'

Add you email

Then make that email your primary alias

Then you should be able to delete the old @xboxlivefamily email from the account.

Never mind. Turns out that all I had to do was CORRECTLY spell her xboxlivefamily e-mail address in order to reset her password, and that got sent back to my e-mail account. So this is all figured out now.

by changing the email this means that you wil create a new account and a new gamertag. you can try to reset the password to create a new password and access to yor account

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you have a question with email. Any valid email can be used, for example an old work email that is no longer working. If the email on your Microsoft account is XBoxlivefamily you can

change it to a different email. You could use a g-mail yahoo or other email not Microsoft domains.

Hi! Thanks for the response. Buy my problem is that to get the prompt to reset my Ubisoft Club password it gets sent to the xboxlivefamily email, which doesn't let me access any emails sent to it. The alias doesn't get that account's emails.
