    How do I change my Xbox account's privacy settings?


    When I click on the settings button, I'm redirected to an article saying that my family group may have restrictions, but I'm the only member of my family group. When I try to change my family group settings, I just get redirected to another article about changing family group settings.

    To confirm, you cannot access your privacy settings on https://account.xbox.com/Settings, correct? What just happened when you open that link?

    Your account may be recognized by the system as child account. Are you still minor?

    As far as I'm aware you can't change the date of birth for an Xbox account. However, you can change the privacy settings of the account. you can do this by going into settings, account and then selecting privacy and online followed by Xbox live privacy. these
    settings can be changed to allow messages, online play etc.
