    How do I change my Xbox account from child to adult


    I made my Xbox account when I was 12 or 13 years old, so my Xbox account was a child's account. I am now 19, yet still have to ask permission to buy games, but I'm not sure who it's asking since no one is receiving an email and I'm not in a family account.

    I googled how to change this and it said to sign in to Microsoft Xbox on the child account, go to settings> privacy and change it.

    When I did that it said I had to go sign in to the parents account, go to the child's profile, go to privacy settings and change it.

    Now this brings me back to square one i have no parent account. WHAT DO I DO?

    You are trying to change an adult account to a child account? While the age of the account is determined by the DOB on said account, we can change the privacy settings for this account to have child-like privileges.
    To do this, just navigate to Settings>Privacy & online safety>and make the appropriate changes their.

    How can I change the birthdate from child to adult?
    Unfortunately you can not change the birthday from a child to an adult, it must age into one. My best bet would try to recover the account waitedgoblin3 if possible, i know you don't know what account it is but you can at least try to do so.
