    How do I change my pirate name?


    When I first started the game I had an awful gamertag. I have since changed the gamertag and deleted my starting pirate. However, every pirate that I make now defaults to the original, terrible gamertag name. How do I change this?

    how do i change my dashboard background?

    If your X1 does not automatically update. Go to settings, system information. Click update.

    After this update your system will restart.

    When you view your achievements you will then be able to select 'set as background' which will use the graphic of that achievement as the background for your X1.

    You can also put a .jpg or .png on a thumb/USB drive and plug this into your X1. Then select the media player (preview version currently) and select the folder/file/image. Press I believe the start button, you will then see an option to set the picture as your background.

    If you changed the GT, try deleting the profile from the console and re-download it again.

    Click on gamertag, then Change Gamertag. On PS4, you can't even change your name, lol. Sony implies it's too technical or something. Xbox lets you change your gamertag as many times as you want, for a very small fee. On PS4, you are STUCK with the name (or
    equivalent gamertag) you create. And peeps like to be creative and different. Even YouTube use to not allow you change your YouTube channel name, now they do. Either Sony's staff is considerably inferior to Microsoft, or they just couldn't care less with allowing
    you to change your name. Yes you can edit your first and last name, but your player name/title/whatever they call it, once created, they won't let you change it. Yet MICROSOFT and YOUTUBE let us. I heard Steam also doesn't let you change your name too. What
    is with these people?!
