How do I change my old email to a new one?

I need help i changed my email to my xbox account but its still sending all my emails to the old one and it shows the the old as my email instead of my new one on games and when i register for things how do i change this??

We understand that you're having trouble changing your email address associated with your Microsoft account. If you don't have access to your old email address but you can sign into your account using your Microsoft credentials then you can try the following steps:

• Go to the Microsoft account sign-in page and click on "Forgot my password."
  
• Enter your Microsoft account email address and follow the prompts to verify your identity.
  
• If you can't verify your identity using your old email address, you can select "I don't have any of these" and follow the prompts to verify your identity using other methods.
  
• Once you've verified your identity, you can update your email address by going to the "Security" section of your Microsoft account settings.
  

If you're still having trouble, accessing your account then, you will have to recover it. I would like to inform you at the beginning that Microsoft account recovery is managed by a completely automated server, and we do not have manual access to it. Microsoft takes the security and privacy of our customers very seriously. According to Xbox I have two profiles ... one under my old email which I want to keep and one under my new email.

How do I get the new one to look like the old one?

Do you know if there is a way to merge the accounts then? My old email address, that is also a gmail account, needed to be changed due to security problems. I changed my email and want to be able to keep my Gamertag but using the new email address. My goal is to get all accounts attached to the old email changed to the new one for security reasons. I really appreciate your willingness to answer my questions!
