    My kids want to play Mine Craft with their friends online. However their current permission settings in the family app prevent that. I can’t figure out how to change their permissions in the Family App or Online.

    You can sign in to account.xbox.com/settings and manage your child's settings especially the following:

    You can join cross-network play

    You can join multiplayer games

    Click "submit" button to save the changes that you made and have your child restart their device.

    The restrictions are set correctly. Changing the restrictions from 'friends' to 'everyone' or changing the child's permissions to 'adult' did not have any effect.
