How do i change my birth date without a parent account, and as a minor?

We understand that you wanted to update your birth year and join your friends in the multiplayer game - Minecraft. We know how important it is for you to access and do those things without a supervision of an adult. To tell you honestly, those two things you are looking for are only accessible when you are an adult or available to your parents/guardian settings. There is no way for you to do that. However, you can choose either you wait for your Microsoft account to be on the legal age in your country and be an adult or ask your guardian to perform those things.

I know for sure it isn't a child/minor account since I can add friends on xbox which a child account wouldn't be able to do unless the parent had changed the settings to allow that, not to mention I made this account pretty recently, and I am over 13 and set the date of birth to reflect that.

I'm also on a child account, I messed up with the birth date when I created it but I own the parent account to it and can change the privacy settings from there. Is it possible for Microsoft to promote my account to an adult account without waiting 10 years
for it to be 18?

The age on an Xbox account is permanent. Changing it from account.microsoft.com or having a parent change it will not change the date of birth on the Xbox account attached to it.

how do I change my date of birth if I go to "my microsoft account" then "your info" and then "edit date of birth" my birthday is just shown as a normal text and not as a field where i can select smth.
