How do I change a voucher for Microsoft Gold to another form of credit from Microsoft

My 11 year old son bought a Microsoft gift card with his pocket money thinking he could buy games. Unfortunately he bought the Microsoft gold card not realising this was for a subscription. Is there any way he can change this so he can buy and download
games instead for his Xbox?

Accessing credit

I have used a voucher code for £50 of credit.

The code was accepted and the £50 credit is showing in my account.

How can I access this credit to buy Microsoft points etc.

Use Voucher not credit card.

I jus brought a $10 voucher its on my account and also my credit card is on my account when I go to buy something it says its going to charge the credit card not the voucher. How can I change that without out removing the credit card? (I have my gold membership
on my credit card so I cant remove it)

You would have to contact the retailer it was purchased from to see if they will exchange it. Otherwise, there is no way to convert it into a gift card.

This is not something that Microsoft can help with. You would need to go back to the retail store and see if they can do s return.

There are several Microsoft store credit vouchers in the rewards program, for the Microsoft Stare, the Xbox Marketplace and the Microsoft Merchandise Store. Do you recall which one you redeemed with your points?

Xbox or Microsoft store credit can be used against any item in the store, even if it's already discounted through specials, games with gold or a subscription discount such as Games Pass or EA Access.
