steam has one good feature though, you can remote play with others so if a friend does not own the game you want to play a lot of games can be remote played so they join in, also steam can be played remotely if you know what your doing.

and besides if i wanted to i would just use nvidia to access my game library on the go.

Sorry. But as my original post said, I am trying to do this through my phone to access remote play. Although I do have one more question.

Does having a password on your Xbox prevent remote play?

I think thats a little misunderstanding. The One can not react on the remote commands from your cable or tv remotes at all.

The One is able to send these remote commands itself and act as a remote control that way. So you are able to use smartglass as universal remote to control your devices via the One or use voice commands to do the same with the kinect. But you cannot use
your remotes to do anything on the One.

Of course you can use your remote controls to send commands to the respective device even if the One is configured to control them. It's more like you can choose to control your TV and cable box with the One (with Kinect, Smartglass or controller ) AND/OR
your usual remotes.

We're in the same boat Ray. I have more remotes than before the xbox. I bought a Sony amp with the Xbox that won't turn on due to some IR problem with the xbox so that's another remote, i bought a media remote for the xbox as the voice commands, particularly
"xbox on" just don't work (I suspect it only really understands Americans), so that's another one. Then I still need my remote for my Virgin Tivo. Bottom line I need 3 remotes to turn the TV on. The wife tried to get on with it but has given up as it's just
too difficult and irritating. I've had to plug in my old dvd player and she just uses freeview in the TV. It's just a games console for my kids now, really disappointing.
