How do I access a game purchased on my child's account?

I recently bought ea fc ultimate edition onto my kid's xbox account so that they could get the points etc. It did it on my account last year and shared it with them bit they couldn't access any of the additional perks for having the ultimate edition.

I have tried to play on my adult account but it keeps coming up with the error "The person who bought this needs to sign in".

I have tried to sign is my child but I can't see an obvious place for me to allow sharing. Any help would be appreciated.

but the message on screen is to have an adult purchase them FOR the child account. So, as the adult that owns the xbox live gold account, how do I do what the system is telling me to do? If, as an adult, I can not buy these for my child, why tell me I
can? And are the very childish avatar skins REALLY only meant for adult players? If child accounts cannot have them, your messaging should not tell the child to ask their parents to purchase them for them. It should just say something like “ Avatar skins (many
of which are obviously designed for children) cannot be purchased for a child account. So if you, as a parent buy your child an Xbox Live Gold account, please know that 5hey cannot access content design ped for xbox live gold members even with parent permission”.

Thank you for this. I have made xbox B the home xbox and still the subscription is not there for xbox Live. Is this because it is a childs account? I do have the child under my account in a family account and want him to have access to this. How can I do that?

Hi there,

If you purchased the content on the parent account, then the DLC can only be accessed by the adult account. The only way the child account could access the DLC content is if both accounts are on the same Xbox and that the parent account has the Xbox set
as the Home console. This will allow digital content owned or purchased from the parent account to be shared with the child account or other accounts on the same Xbox. The parent account will also need to allow access to this content for the child account
due to the age rating of GTA 5.

https://account.microsoft.com/family/ or on the Xbox One when the child tries to access this content.

Ok reading all of these questions. First VBucks is not DLC. They are just ingame money to purchase items. As far as child account do you have the child under a family account. If child request a purchase an email is sent to parent account asking for purchase
permission. Thats how I have it for my son under family account. He cant purchase anything without me giving the ok through the family account.
