How do Games on Demand work with the Xbox One?

Picked up the Madden bundle yesterday, and started to download everything before I went to bed. Kind of curious though as to why I can't still play online as the game it self has downloaded, but it just sort of seems to be sitting at around 34% installing,
which I'm guessing is similar to Steam where you can play your games before they're fully installed. Maybe I'm not doing something correctly, or the xbox needs to be off, but I wasn't sure if there was anything I was doing affecting it, or in general how the
Games on Demand work on the new system.

Games on Demand

Ok got a question, you know how most new games now a days come with some online pass code etc...That code is included in the package with the game so you can download it. How does this work with game purchase via "Games on Demand" from your console? I recently
downloaded Warhammer 40k spacemarine which i understand if bought new you get an elite code, but since i purchase online via on demand how do i get such code or pass?

 

The downloads have been a little on the slow side lately which would be the reason you are only seeing the 34% downloaded. You can head to My Games & Apps to see if there's anything else downloading as well that may be slowing down the progress of the game.
