    How could you disable the profanity filter on PC?


    I normaly play private matchs with friends and the games form the microsoft store, filter the chat words incoherently making the chat almost unreadeble, for example the spanish word "ahora" which mean now is rendered "a****".

    I don't have any interest nor problem with cursing in the private matchs, but the filter make the chat almost unreadble, if there is any way to disable the filter atleast in private matchs i ask for guidance of how to disable it.

    I clarify just in case that I'm an adult and i have no interest in saying profanity, the problem is that the filter does not work well in Spanish which makes reading the chat tedious at the very least.

    If this was done by Xbox, it would only affect Xbox services which wouldn't be done in the actual game. It could only affect your actual Xbox party chat and Xbox messaging. It wouldn't have any effect on In-game gameplay.

    I don't think it's the dead by daylight filter but an additional xbox/microsoft filter. Friends on other platforms (steam, epic) in the same match don't see the same things censored as I do on the xbox game pass version.

    Sadly this can't be disabled. The Devs did not add that as an option, unfortunately.

    I do understand the game is fairly graphic and carries mature content but it also carries responsibilities for players communication, etc.

    Won't let me use a word that IS in the dictionary.

    It could be a profanity filter at work. Although most people might think of the car there is a sexual meaning and that could be censored.

    Open the Settings menu and select the Account & Network tab. Under Content Filters you can choose to enable several content filters:

    Profanity Filter - Options: Enabled or Disabled

    Graphic Content - Options: Enabled or Disabled

    Real Names - Options: Enabled or Disabled

    Friend Request Notifications - Options: Enabled or Disabled

    Party Invite Notifications - Options: Enabled or Disabled

    Matchmaking Delay - Options: Disabled, 3 seconds, 5 seconds, 10 seconds, 15 seconds, 20 seconds, or Random

    Codename - Options: Enabled or Disabled

    Codename Other Players - Options: Enabled or Disabled

    Additionally, the Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War team continuously works to remove offensive usernames and provide in-game resources for our players to report content they feel may be offensive.
