How could I recreate the "Captures" folder if I accidentally deleted it?

Hi Josef,

I deleted all the keys except "Default", created a "Captures" folder in Videos, and restarted my computer. All new recordings are still saved in AppData\Local\Temp folder.

I noticed there is a "Debug" sub folder under the "GameDVR" folder. Do I also have to delete all the files there as well?

Did you permanently deleted the folder? You can try to restore it if it's in your bin.

If not, you can try recreating the path opening the game bar > Settings > capturing

Are you not able to see the option there?

The recordings are now in the Captures folder under a new local admin account.

I guess I will leave the files in the Temp folder since it's quite a lot of work for me to transfer my data between the admin accounts.

Hi, in the temp folder, the recordings are saved inside other folder?

If yes do this instead.

Go to Windows settings > gaming > captures > open folder > drag that folder to the Videos folder in your PC.

After that try doing a new recording and you should be able to see the new recording saved there.

If that doesn't work create the Captures folder inside Videos.

Then delete the registry keys associated with the game bar :

Press Windows key+R then type regedit and press Enter.

Go to this path (expand the folders using the little ">")

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\GameDVR

Once there delete all the keys except (Default), restart your PC and check if you can save the clips inside Captures

If you create a new local administrator user in your PC and try from there.
