How come xbox will allow you to pay for a digital gift, but wont work in other countries...

Is there a way people can gift from overseas or no becuase my friend gifted me a game overseas and i feel bad becuase he spent 60$ on the game to give it to me and it wont redeem just because he lives in a austria

I was also told by an executive of microsoft who i been corresponding with that i have to check if i purchase a game wether or not there will be enough servers for Australians to play and they just provide the platform, then asked me for a list of my 600
games which ones dont work in australia, disintegration, and warface breakout, plus the crossfire x, which was made specifically for platform are unplayable within Oceana, i can name alot, so know i jave to email the publishers to find out if it will work,
interesting because crossfire x conversion was published by microsoft i beleive and im receiving heaps of messages to speak to remedy entertainment, as a whole continent cannot play the games same as crytek and v 1 interactive, seem to forget theres more
than 2 continents, once again dont mind taking the money

Actually they do not allow you to gift overseas. Microsoft said this right from when game gifting started. Gifts can only be redeemed in the same region you purchased it. It's not their fault, that many gamers do not read up about it first before they
gift a game to someone.

Actually it is there fault, as they could stop you from purchasing it, as i said, there happy to take the money, but wont give it back, this is a breach of the ACCC sony can tell you all about there 3.8 million dollar fine, non regional should mean non
regional, and if not your money should be returned its fraudulant. You could buy it physically and it would work, my question was to why they keep allowing people to gift games. There are ways around it just send the cash to your friends paypal, it feels
like they leave the coding out just to get those extra bucks.
