How come Xbox live gold is only removed from free to play games?

The free-to-play update is here! now i can enjoy more of my favorite games (in 4K). but I've been noticing something that's a little bit strange. ok, ok, yes, Xbox is simply the best gaming console here, but i think to even make it better, you guys should make it so we can play ANY game without Xbox live gold. in my perspective the only subscription that should exist is Game Pass.

Why?

If you want a service then you have to pay & Microsoft have to make money somehow.

They don't make a profit on consoles so gold & gamepass are their ways of making money.Just gamepass on it's own wouldn't be enough.

It's not like it's expensive anyway & it's even cheaper if you use Microsoft Rewards if it's available in you region.

I agree with him Fortnite should not have live gold since it’s a free game so xbox could you kindly remove xbox live gold membership from Fortnite please

On the Xbox 360, to play online multiplayer, you will need to purchase an Xbox Live Gold Subscription either from Xbox themselves or from your local or online game retailer.

The only way to play online for free is to redeem Xbox Live Gold trials, which you might find in physical game cases. These come in 24 hours, 48 hours, 14 days, and 30 days.

As great as it would be for us if Microsoft removed the cost for Xbox Live, I doubt it will ever happen because they make lots of money from it.

Plus, the Xbox Live membership on console comes with Deals with Gold and Games with Gold.

And depending on region, people can get Xbox Live for free with Microsoft Rewards.
