    How come every time I close the game Dead By Daylight (Windows) my achievement progress...


    I cannot keep achievement progress for a specific game, Dead By Daylight. If I close the game, my progress for all cumulative achievements gets reset to 0, and I have video proof of it not saving my progress, if that's helpful or needed.

    For example, there's an achievement in the game for 500 sacrifices, and if I kept the game open and kept playing and got the 500 sacrifices it would unlock fine. But if I got 499, and closed the game, getting 1 more sacrifice wouldn’t unlock it, I would need 500 more.

    Is there anybody with insight into how Windows 10 achievements get unlocked or save progress? Because I've played multiple games on multiple accounts and never seen any type of bug or glitch like this before.

    Here's a much longer video showing how the progress is reset between launching the games and what the tracking actually shows, also shows me have the console companion app logged in, have had it for so long, used it a lot before the new Xbox app came out. And the services enabled, and set to Automatic.

    Timestamps in the description, you might want to wait until it processes to HD, because the text is unreadable, but I describe everything as it happens.

    TL;DW: Basically tracking just shows the highest you've reached, which if the progress saves correctly, is your current progress, but it cannot decrease, it just stays at the highest you've reached. So I show in the video me having progress, and then having to redo all the progress+1 to have the tracking percent increase. And I showed it for 2 straight games after restarts.

    I basically just need info from someone on how the tracking actually works and saves on Windows 10 achievements, and then investigating those areas on my PC. I can't think of any other way to try and solve my issue

    Ok, but the one you showed on the video is not proof of it being reset, just that it doesn't count new ones, but the previous progress remains there

    Please try installing the console companion app and check that you are logged into it, sometimes this install some Xbox services needed for achievements

    Also check that this services are enabled on your Pc

    Xbox Live Auth Manager

    Xbox Live Networking Service

    Press Windows Key + 'R' and type in 'services.msc', find those services and set them to Automatic, reboot, and check the game.

    Here's a link to a demonstration. I actually tested another game with tracking, Vzerthos: The Heir of Thunder (Windows), and had the same issue. So clearly it's something with my computer or account. But idk how the tracking or achievements work on Windows. Never had issues on Xbox. I'm not sure what you mean about period of reset, but it's every single cumulative achievement in the game, for any specific killer actions, or survivor actions. They are all affected by this glitch
