    How come certain games remain so expensive for the Belgian market?


    Does anyone know why certain games remain so expensive for the Belgian market (perhaps even European market in general - I haven't checked) even after the game is relatively old?

    THIS IS DIGITAL NOT FYSICAL.

    For instance Mad Max.

    (For US market.)

    It costs $ 19.00 normal price and now on sale it's $ 5.00.

    (For Belgian market.)

    It costs € 69.99 normal price and now on sale it's € 17.50.

    The $ 5.00 would be € 4.27...so basically we pay € 13.23 too much in comparisson for a game that's over 2 years old by now.

    ON SALE!!!

    By comparisson also the sale price of € 17.50 is equal to about $ 20.50, which is even more than what the game costs normally for the US market.

    I understand there can be small differences because of taxes and such, but these differences are rediculous, unfair and perhaps discriminating.

    Mad Max is the best example.

    There are other cases, but with less obvious price gaps.

    I just want to know why some have to pay more for a digital game because they live somewhere else.

    I live in Belgium and I changed the region for France because Dishonored on the belgian market is full english and I wanted to play in french

    So it's impossible for a belgian guy to buy a game on the french market?

    Belgian Version of Fallout 3 language issue

    Dear sir or madam,

    I'm a Flemish Belgian, and I just bought Fallout 4 with Fallout 3 code included via backward compatibility. I installed the Fallout 3 via download but.... The entire game is in French....

    As a Flemish Belgian my language is Dutch... "not" French... I can understand that there are not enough Dutch speaking people to create games in Dutch version... I utterly understand that. So I want to have my game in English, which is my second language.
    As I have no knowledge of French whatsoever the game I bought Fallout 4 for (fallout 3 disc version was more expensive atm then Fallout for with 3 included) is of no use to me as is.

    There are more Flemish Belgians then French ones, by a margin of 3 to 1.... So not giving the option to have the lang uage in English but forcing a French version down our throats is really a disgrace. Truely.... I don't dare buy anymore backward compatible
    Xbox games out of fear they'll be of no use to me...

    Prices are largely set by the publishers. So that's not something anyone here can really answer.

    Various games are not available to their respective markets due to limitations put in place by various laws of those respective regions and certain laws can lead to a developer or company not being able to market their product in certain regions. This goes
    for every manufacturer since everyone has to follow the rules of the economy of the country they are selling their services to. If developers and Microsoft were able to offer certain products or services in your region, they would most certainly, but they
    cannot in certain regions for certain products because of regional laws preventing them from doing so. I hope you can understand that there are many factors that go into making these decisions and that Microsoft is not solely responsible for making these decisions.

    Hi,

    Xbox game pass is region locked , so if you are a Belgian and if you living in Belgium, you will have access to all Belgian's contents not the one from other counties.
