An Xbox account cannot be separated from the Microsoft account to which it is linked. They are united forever. While you can add an alias that would provide an alternative means of logging in, you will still be connected to the original email unless it is deleted. You would have to delete it completely, and you would lose everything associated with that email. If you want to separate accounts, one of you will have to start over with a new account.

That happened to me when I went to transfer one of my accounts to a different email address so i can transfer my main account to that email address. Instead, it made a new account without me doing anything and named it a random name. Have you at least tried
to transfer juiceboxsamurai to the email address you want it to be linked to?

Hi Alosun, It depends on what you're really trying to do.

You can change the email address (which is your account ID) by creating a secondary email(account) alias, and then making that email your primary email. I've provided a couple links below. All subscriptions, services, gamer-tags, etc. will transfer with it.

If you're trying to just transfer the XBOX gamer-tag (profile as Francia points out) by changing the account, that's not possible without everything from the original account moving to the new account as I mentioned above.

If you loose access to the original email the GamerTag is associated with, it can become impossible to retrieve access to the DLC purchased under it. So, for instance, if you have a local Broadband email account when you get the map-pack or whatever and
a couple of years later, under a different ISP, you go to transfer the DLC to a new Xbox 360 and you no longer have access to that original email, XBL will not be able to verify your ownership, and it will not be transferable. I know several people who have
lost items purchased from Live because of this.

Update I can get back onto the original account. But there is still a second Xbox account with the same email that has the currency, is there any way to transfer it over?
