How can you play local multiplayer? My Xbox one won't allow me to add additional players.

not many games at all in gamepass pc allow multiplayer locally, but on pc in general there are thousands of games that support local multiplayer with 4 or more players.

there are more local split screen games on pc than all consoles combined but you won't find them on gamepass.

There are a lot of games with single player experiences and games that allow Split-Screen local multiplayer without a need for a Gold subscription.

According to the store page, Rocket League should have a local Split Screen option, that doesn't require a Gold membership.

Make sure you or your kid chooses a game mode that allows local split screen play. That way you won't need a Gold membership.

However, if your grandchild wants to play online against multiple other players, a Gold membership is necessary.

On that box, the numbers under "Xbox One" are for local multiplayer (or split screen, how many players can play on the same console with each other). The numbers under "Xbox Live' are how many people can be in a game on online multiplayer, not the same
console.
