Game licenses are not shared through family groups, these are only used to set parental controls, not to share content.

you should make him his own Microsoft account and use the Microsoft family features. Otherwise when he's 18 he's gonna be very upset to find out that all the games and stuff are still under your account and cannot be separated

when you install Minecraft you should get the option to make it available to all users on the PC, so you should do that

Thanks, he does have his own Microsoft account on his computer and XBox, and I added him as a family member to my account. I downloaded the Minecraft launcher, and then to start playing if we choose his profile it takes us back to the main screen prompting him to purchase the game, and if I try to log in using my Microsoft account it wants my PIN which is linked to my laptop and his computer won’t accept it.

Thank you, we were able to get the Microsoft Launcher to work, but when he goes to start playing the game it won’t let him log in using his Microsoft account (says he has to buy the game, even though he’s linked as a family member to my account where I had purchased it for him last year before he had his own account or computer), and if I try to log in with mine it wants a PIN and there’s no way for me to reset it except for on my laptop and when I try to use that on his computer it says the PIN is incorrect.
