How can I verify an account to become my primary

I want to add an alias to my account but I cannot because I have a this warning: "For security reasons, you need to verify your primary alias before you can add another alias." How can I add an alias if I cannot verify my primary address? I no longer have
access to my primary email address as it no longer exists.

The verified status you're seeing is not an actual verification as Xbox does not have such a system. Most times you're seeing "Verified" and a check mark, it's someone using the word "Verified" as their first name and a check mark special character as their
last name.

Thanks for bringing your question to the forums. Yes you are able to
change your primary email on the account. Following that link provided, will explain how to change it.

Basically, you will want to add another email you want to use, VERIFY
that email. Then after it is verified you can make it your primary email.

You need to log in online to MS account.

You then need to add another email account on the manage account settings page

After that email account has been verified you need to set it as the primary email.

Once the new email is set as the primary you can then remove the older email address.
