How can I use a slightly older version of my minecraft world as the main one that is synced...

So I have 2 Xbox consoles at 2 different addresses which I often alternate between and when I play minecraft on one of them, it will sync the progress and data from the cloud from the other one I played on.

However, I would like to use the saved version of my main world from a couple days ago (which is on my other console) as the main one which is synced to the cloud but unfortunately the more recent version (which has been really messed up my friends) has been synced to the cloud now. I haven’t gone back onto the other Xbox yet because it still has the version of the world that I want and I don’t want it to immediately sync the newer and crappier version over it so I’ll lose it.

Any tips or ideas on how to delete the synced data in the cloud and make the older version of the world the main one which is uploaded?

    :)

How can I use a slightly older version of my minecraft world as the main one that is synced to the cloud?

    Hi Theo_47,

We appreciate you for bringing this up to Xbox Forum.

We understand that you want to prevent Xbox from syncing the newer version of Minecraft world over the older one, is that right?

Let us check on this together and sort this out to assist your concern.

You can try to disable cloud syncing on your Xbox console. Here are the steps to do it:

    1. Go to the Xbox home screen.
    2. Press the Xbox button on your controller to open the guide.
    3. Select “Profile & system” > “Settings” > “Devices & streaming” > “Device connections”.
    4. Select your console from the list of devices.
    5. Turn off “Cloud storage” for Minecraft.

This will prevent your Xbox from syncing the newer version of Minecraft world over the older one. You can also try transferring your Minecraft world across devices using Minecraft Realms /Realms Plus.

Here are the steps to transfer your Minecraft world across devices using Minecraft Realms /Realms Plus:

    1. Launch Minecraft and go to its Minecraft Realm menu.
    2. Click on the pen icon beside your realm, select “Replace World” option, and confirm it.
    3. Select the world that you want to transfer, wait for it to be uploaded, and then select “Let’s go

We hope it worked out well for you. If not, please reply back to this forum to let us know so we could find other options to resolve the problem.

We will be glad to follow up and help you.

    Sincerely,

    Minecraft worlds gone

Were you in the Minecraft Preview as well as system preview? It might be that the newer version of Minecraft worlds aren't recognized by the older version? If not, I thought they synced via the cloud, and would check that you're connected and cloud storage
    synced properly ( https://beta.support.xbox.com/help/games-apps/troubleshooting/cloud-storage-sync-error-messages ).

Minecraft xbox one edition worlds get deleted

    Hi Goldkiller259,

Thanks for reaching out to us in the forums with this issue. A few months ago, a Beta version of Minecraft for their upcoming update was mistakenly released, causing many games to update and if a world was opened during the Beta, then if you've returned
to the current version you will need to wait until Minecraft fully updates to the version that was under beta testing before they will be available.

Another possibility is that you're using a previous version of Minecraft for Xbox One and have updated to the new Minecraft "Better Together" version. If this is the case, then you simply need to sync your worlds.

    Minecraft updates and versions

To sync your worlds from the Xbox One Edition to Minecraft:

    1. Sign into your console using the account with which you previously saved your Xbox One Edition world.
    2. Launch Minecraft, and then select Play from the main menu.
    3. On the Worlds tab, select Sync Old Worlds if your existing games haven’t already been migrated.
    4. Select the world that you want to migrate and wait for the conversion to complete.
    5. Your world will now sync to the new Minecraft when you sign in.

Give the troubleshooting a try and let us know the results.

I hope that this helps you out.
