    How can i unlink old xbox gamertag from EA account?


    Hello,

    My old gamertag was WriestMammal480 and i changed it with the new gamertag system for free to mata#4359. When i try to link my xbox account with my ea account i cannot. I chatted with an EA advisor and they say WriestMammal480 is linked to your EA account, you should contact with xbox support to unlink it. So my question is, how can i unlink my old gamertag from my EA account. I also tried to change it to my old gamertag, it says gamertag must be 12 characters max so i cannot change it to WriestMammal480. Could you please help me? Also live support does not support live chat for this problem so i could not chat with the support.

    I contacted with EA live support and they unlinked my old gamertag from my EA account and then linked my new gamertag and problem solved, thank you.

    Unlinking old EA account from Xbox

    You need to contact EA support to help you unlink your xbox account from EA account.

    However keep in mind that if you unlink an Xbox gamertag from your EA Account, you can’t link a different Xbox gamertag to it in the future.

    According to the official EA unlinking FAQ website:

    "You can unlink your platform accounts from your EA Account if you want to link them to a different EA Account, as long as that EA Account has never had the same account type linked to it before in its lifetime.

    That means if you unlink an Xbox gamertag from your EA Account, you can’t link a different Xbox gamertag to it in the future."

    Unfortunately is not possible to link a different Xbox account / gamertag, only the one that you linked at the beginning
