how can i uninstall a game that isn’t working on my xbox

Hey Rodrigo, i did manage to test 2 other connections thanks to my neighbors and my mobile hotspot. however i wasn’t able to reinstall the game but i believe i’ll leave the issue as is. i was very satisfied with the support i received from you Rodrigo thank you very much. i’ll possibly upgrade to a newer xbox model over the summer maybe a series s to replace this one s model as it’s already starting to show its age. thank you for the outstanding support Rodrigo and have a great day.

Is this only happening with this game or with all downloads?

Have you tried to restart your router?

Please, change your connection DNS.

Follow these steps:

Go to Profile and System > Settings > General > Network Settings.

Select the network you're connected to, then select Advanced settings > Manual

On the DNS field, input these:

Primary: 8.8.8.8

Secondary: 8.8.4.4

Save settings.

If it still does not work, please, if you know how to do it, make a Wi-Fi hotspot router on your phone and connect to it.

That way we can isolate the issue, by testing another internet connection, using your mobile data plan.

This is a storage issue, you can try factory resetting the console.

Before you continue, make sure you've got the account sign-in information. You'll need it to log back into your console after the reset.

You can follow these steps:

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Select Reset and delete everything.

hey Rodrigo, this is only occurring with fortnite. i was able to download minecraft just fine on my xbox after resetting and i was able to update minecraft just fine when the issue with fortnite first occurred. i followed the instructions you gave me just now and the issue is still there. Is there anything else i could possibly do?

This is odd. If it was a network issue, no game would install. Did you manage to test a different connection?

I don't know if this is your case, but I have seen a similar issue before, at the time, the router parental settings were configured to block Fortnite installation.

We were able to identify this by trying to install it on a mobile device and PC, but it didn't work on any devices, checking the router we found the block.

If this was a storage issue, resetting the console should have helped.

Besides what we already tried, you can test another connection (if you haven't) and perform a full system reinstallation via offline update.
