Yep, you'll need to contact phone support and speak with a billing agent to solve this issue. Not something you can solve yourself unfortunately. You should be able to reach them by clicking on the last link in my previous post.

You can also check both of your Microsoft account profiles if it set correctly to South Africa by signing in here: https://account.microsoft.com/profile.

If both are correct and if your friend is accepting it through PC, he might want to check his PC region if it is set to South Africa by going to Settings > Time & Language > Language & Region > Country or region.

Please try the next possible solution:

1. Sign out from your account on the Xbox app and the Microsoft Store
2. Reset the Microsoft store cache using the wreset.exe command

3. Double check if everything is up to date via Windows Settings > Update and Security > Windows Update > Get updates

4. Once everything is up to date, sign in with the account that owns the game on the Xbox app and the Microsoft Store

5. Go to PC Settings > Apps and features > installed apps > once you find Flight Simulator click on the dots > advanced menu > click repair and reset.

6. Finally, open the game and verify if the issue has been solved
