    XBOX APP AVALIBLE IN THE JAN WIN 10 BUILD

    Couple things I want to try out,
    I don't think you can message other users yet looks like you can just view. If you can confirm that for me would be great.
    I also want to check how much lag there is between sending messages from the app to time it takes to get the message on xbox.

    Unable to send and possible receive messages

    Hello everyone,

    I am having trouble sending messages on my Xbox one and the Xbox app. On the Xbox one when I go into the messages sidebar/ tap thing I get the following message:

    "We were unable to get your recent messages. Please try again later"

    When I go to send a message on the Xbox one it just has the circular loading icon. On the Xbox app when I go to the messages tab it says the following:

    "Things sure are quiet here. Try sending a message!"

    When I go to send a message via the xbox app it does not work either I get:

    "We were unable to send this message. Try again later."

    Does anyone know why this is happening and how it can be resolved?

    Hi there,

    you should be able to see message via the messages icon in the top bar of the Xbox App and respond to any previous conversations and if you want to send someone a message that isn't in a previous conversation just look for their profile and it should show
    a Message on there too.

    You can get some of the features of SmartGlass now using the XBOX Companion app from the iOS App Store or on Windows Phone (I'm not sure if it is on Android yet). This app lets you send/receive XBOX messages, and control your XBOX from the app.
