How can I see the activity in my xbox?

Thanks Quimby, I can now post to the activity feed. I cannot however see my activity feed on the xbox one dashboard. How do I get it back? As said, all I can see is what my friends are playing and the leaderboard, there's no activity feed.

These are the steps you are doing?

There are several ways to see what your friends are doing on Xbox.

To take a look at what everyone is doing:
Press the Xbox  button to open the guide.
Select Home, then go to Friends & Community Updates. This shows your friends' recent activity.

To reduce it:
Press the Xbox button  to open the guide and select Contacts. You'll see which friends are online and how many of them are playing.
Select the list of those who are online to see what they are doing, like playing games or watching Netflix.

Select your gaming friends list to see what they're playing and on what platform: console, PC, or mobile.
Note Platform icons only appear for platforms other than the one you're currently using to view your friends list.

To view the activity of a specific friend:
Press the Xbox button  to open the guide and select Contacts.
Choose a friend and select View full profile. You'll see activity like your friends' screenshots and achievements.

Your child’s activity report is available on their tile on the Family screen. To see a more detailed activity report, select the member’s account tile, select the Screen Time tile, and then choose one of the following:

Select Today at the top of the screen to see the member’s online activity for the day, including a breakdown of how they used this time.

Select Past Week at the top of the screen to see a graph of a member’s online activity for the past week, including a breakdown of how they used this time and the average time that they spent on the console or Windows 10 device each day.
