how can i save my Fortnite account???

i have been playing Fortnite for 6 years, i have a lot of progress on my account and a lot of money put into it. recently my account is gone, i don't think i ever had an 'epic' account I always just signed in with my Microsoft/Xbox account, never really worried about it until now. everything is gone, when i log in on my PS5(i don't currently have an Xbox) i did have my sister who has an Xbox sign in as me and it does the same thing as the PS5, it signs in as my username/display name, but nothing is there, no skins, no wraps, no friends, everything is back to square one like i have never played before. and when i try to log into epic games, even though I'm sure i didn't have an account and try to recover it they tell me the account basically has never existed, so i am not sure if this is a Microsoft issue or epic issue. can someone help me out? i have tried linking and the whole recovery process, my Microsoft account is still here that is how i am typing this question. but my Fortnite account is GONE. i am so sad about it. if anyone knows anything or has had something similar happen i could really use the tips. thank you!
