How can I run Xbox Game Bar screen-recording on my PC?

Hello.

The person who told you they can record video on their low powered Pentium n3700 isn't lying. Their PC support Intel Quick Sync Video encoding, the i3-2100 does not appear to have this feature. Quick Sync hardware video encoding is something you'd only find
on the more higher teared 2nd Gen Core i5's and i7's I believe.

Note: your i3-2100 is four years older than the n3700.

How can you make it run on your PC?

You can't, not at the moment anyway. If your PC has enough room (and a decent enough power supply) your best option is to buy a dedicated graphics card. I believe for video recording on a AMD card it would be anything from the HD 7700 upward, while from
NVIDIA anything from the GTX 650 upwards.

It definitely isn't required to stay on your PC but I've found it useful if i ever need to record my screen as you can use the game bar feature without an account i believe.

I'm sorry to hear that the Xbox Game Bar is not recording. Go through the following steps to make sure your PC meets these requirements.

• Make sure you have the latest updates on your Windows 10 PC. Press the
  Start button, then choose Settings. Go to Update & security, then select
  Check for updates.
• Check Game Bar’s settings. Press the Start button, then choose
  Settings. Go to Gaming > Game bar, then turn on
  Record game clips, screenshots, and broadcast using Game bar. Also make sure that background recording is on so that you can record the last 30 seconds (or whatever time you picked).
• When playing a game, press the Windows logo key + G to open Game Bar. Select the
  Enable gaming features for this app to record gameplay when trying to use gaming features like broadcasting or capturing.
• The game may be running in full-screen mode. See

• The game might be blocking custom keyboard shortcuts. See

• Make sure you’ve updated your graphics drivers. See
  Hardware requirements for Game Bar on Windows 10.
• Try choosing a different display option for your game (such as borderless windows).
