You have to sign in with the correct Email that is connected with that Gamertag.

Yes and it came up with thoughtlion3381. How else could i find my username or find out what email its under? Everything is under that name

It sounds like the gamertag you are trying to recover was created under a different email address than the one you are currently using to attempt to sign in. The new gamertag was created while attempting to login to an email that was not tied to an Xbox
Live account.

There is no way we would know what your correct login email would be, and for security reasons, a person's email is not publicly shown when searching for the gamertag through Xbox Live.

You can find the email if you happen to have an older console that still has that gamertag on the console. If you don't, then your only option would be to contact Xbox Customer Support and hopefully they can help you after you provide them with the gamertag
and then you pass account verification. Try the following steps to get in contact with customer support over the phone:

3. Select See other options
4. Select Payment & billing under Account management
5. Select show contact options and go to step 4
