How can I retrieve my original Minecraft licence on my migrated Microsoft account?

    How can I retrieve my original Minecraft licence on my migrated Microsoft account?


    This is doing my head in and contacting Minecraft support via email seems nothing short of useless.

    I really do not understand what I'm doing wrong or who to contact to fix it, as Minecraft seems to think only Microsoft can. Anyway - here goes nothing:

    • AFAIK I purchased Minecraft sometime in 2012.
    • In 2020 I migrated that account, as requested, to Mojang. All good.
    • Then I complete the final step and migrate the Mojang account to a Microsoft account. This is where it all falls apart.
    • I have one email from Mojang on my original email address (gmail) saying I successfully migrated to Mojang
    • I then have another email on my Microsoft email address (hotmail) saying I successfully migrated to Microsoft
    • All good
    • But when I go to log in using my new Microsoft account, either online or in game, there is zero evidence of me having purchased Minecraft. My only options are to BUY Minecraft despite having already paid for it in 2012.
    • When I've contacted support I've been told that this Microsoft account already has a Minecraft account associated with it (I know, I migrated it) and that I need to migrate the account again to a Microsoft account (I can't, it's already been migrated)
    • When I try to log in using my old Mojang login - I get the message that the account has already been migrated, and to please use the Microsoft account.
    I've arrived at a complete dead end and either Minecraft, Mojang, and/or Microsoft need to sort this out or give me a full refund because this is ridiculous.

    Calling all forum contributors: please could you help put me in the right direction? I just want to build some blocks with the homies How can I retrieve my original Minecraft licence on my migrated Microsoft account? :(

    Your Minecraft licence is permanently tied to the Microsoft account it was purchased or migrated to, can't relink it to another account.

    Did you close your account, or lose access to it?

    How can I migrate back my Minecraft account form Microsoft login to Mojang login?

    I tried to log in to my Minecraft account by Mojang login and failed. So I checked my Yahoo mail and noticed I migrated my Minecraft account to Microsoft login, I completely forgot why I did that! Now I can't log in back to my Minecraft because I don't remember the outlook mail I logged. How can I migrate it back? I tried to get the security key but the system is unable to authenticate. If there is no plan to migrate back to Mojang login, how can I get my refund back? I bought the redemption card from the kiosk back in 2017.

    p.s. It's new account I made.

    It started being made a requirement so thats probably why.

    You cant as far as im aware.

    Odds are you probably cant and if you could it would probably have to be the kiosk company that would refund you since thats where it was purchased originally.

    the minecraft account was not migrated to another microsoft account, but to a yahoo email. I am aware of the email, reference code, card details, purchase date, my Microsoft account information and my Minecraft name (which may have been changed). I don't need help recovering my Microsoft account, as I have already managed to recover it. But I wanted to ask for help in migrating Minecraft from the scammer's email to the original Microsoft account (which is the one I'm writing with). Obviously I will provide you at Microsoft with all the information necessary to get your Minecraft account back. (if I try to log in to the launcher with my Microsoft account it tells me that I didn't purchase the game, which is false and I can test it with the data I listed before).
