How can i repair minecraft on steam os arch

hi thx for your replay, but this is not the awnser im am looking for.

minecraft it self is not a steam game its a microsoft game that i installed on the steam os 3.0 desktop invermand (sorry for spelling)

so cant verify becouse on my Library its only a sortcut.

i need some kind of command that make it repair it self.

installing and reinstalling thosend make a change.

I understand that you are facing the problem of closing and reopening the game it gives you an error and I am very sorry for that. To repair a game on steam just follow the steps below.

1. Launch the Steam client.

2. In the Library section, right-click on Minecraft and select Properties from the menu.

3. Select the "Local files" tab and click the "Check game cache integrity..." button.

4. Steam will verify the game files — this process may take several minutes.

I'm honestly not sure how much simpler I can make this.....

They are the same thing. Steam Box is a computer, Steam is the OS (currently software but will be the OS). If you are using Steam then you have a Steam Box.

I agree even with steam for linux you have to change the compatibility settings to play windows based games and also steam for linux automatically installs the proton arch to also help play aforementioned games

Actually, I believe Microsoft will have to integrate such a system in order to keep up with the upcoming Steam OS. With Steam OS, you pick the hardware and game the way you want to. Oh and don't worry about the cost of Steam OS it'll be free. Of course,
they will make money off of the games you buy, but that's the big idea anyway.
