With regards to Microsoft account recovery, it is necessary to know what email address you have used in order to request to reset password or fill out the Microsoft recovery form.

If you don't remember your email, you can try to look it up using this link https://account.live.com/username/recover enter the phone number or backup email address that you think you have used for your account. It will send a code to that and just put it there to verify the account.

I’m sorry to hear you’re having trouble retrieving your Microsoft account because you don't remember quite well the email.

As you don’t recall it, you may want to try recovering your account by submitting the account recovery form but using instead a previously linked phone number or previously created Skype username (is not the same as our gamertag)

Furthermore, please refrain from sharing personal information, including email addresses, gamertags, etc.

my original profile is Deathwolf613 witch is the one I'm trying to regain access too. This one i made is jest a substitute till i can regain my profile again.

with the xbox one you have to have a Microsoft account to go with your profile.

so there is an email and password that would go with the accounts somewhere.

Now if you dont remember the email and password you can contact xbox support by going to support.xbox.com/contact-us and give them the gamer tag and if they can verify the ownership of the account then they can give you the email associated with the account.

Hello Sufyaan, what you want to do is change Alias, for any change in the account including changing the email you need to have access to it.

I don't know why or how you lost access to the account, but if you want to change the Alias you will have to regain access to your Microsoft account.

My xbox console account is under an old email address I no longer have access to. My current email address is connected to a random tag: VehementWord701. I have no idea how to update the email address of my real gammertag without getting a 'That name is already taken' error.
