How can I put my Xbox one s digital console into troubleshoot mode bc it doesn't have eject button only and a pair xbox

Instead of using the eject, you would use the sync button.

Power light comes on but nothing else on startup.

Hello JacobSorrell! I'm Claus, an Independent Microsoft Community Consultant for Xbox! Glad to be able to help you!

Given that your console is powering on, but nothing shows up on your screen, then try these steps:

    1. With the console on, press and hold the Xbox button on the console itself until it shuts off.

    2. Unplug it from the wall for 30 seconds.

    3. Connect it to wall again.

    4. Turn it on.

    5. Check if the issue has been resolved.

If by doing that, your console doesn't show anything on screen, then follow these steps:

    1. If there's a disc in the Xbox console, eject it (only applies to Xbox One (S and X) and Series X).

    2. On the console, press and hold the Xbox button for 10 seconds to turn off the console.

    3. Press and hold the Xbox button and the Eject* button (check the note below if your console doesn't have the Eject button) until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You’ll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later.

The power light will flash on before the second beep. Don’t let go from Power and Eject* ( or Pair, depending on your console) until the second beep occurs.

*Note: If you have an Xbox One S All-Digital Edition or Xbox Series S, you’ll need to press and hold the Xbox button and the Pair button instead, as your console does not have an Eject button.

    4. This will boot your console in low resolution mode (640 × 480). To reset this setting, press the Xbox button to open the guide. Select Profile & system, then Settings.

If your console still doesn't power on in low resolution mode, check if it can access the Troubleshooting screen. Follow these steps:

    1. Unplug the network cable if you're using a wired network connection.

    2. Power off your console, and then unplug the power cord to ensure that the console is completely powered off.

    3. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the power cord back in.

Note: The Xbox Series S and the Xbox One S All-Digital Edition do not have Eject buttons. You can bring up the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter on this console by holding only the Pair button and then pressing the Xbox button. Disregard the Eject button for these two consoles.

    4. Press and hold the Pair/Bind button and the Eject button, and then press the Xbox button on the console.

    5. Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.

    6. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.

If you see the Xbox Startup Troubleshooter, then select Reset this Xbox, and then Reset and keep my games & apps.

If even after that your console doesn't work, I recommend that you change your TV to a different TV/monitor and also replace the HDMI cable. If after that your issue isn't fixed, your console will have to be repaired.

    TV not recognising xbox

Hi Nikki. My name is Kyle and I'm an independent advisor.

This can happens if the Xbox is trying to display a resolution higher than what the TV can handle. Try putting the Xbox into low-resolution mode to see if that helps:

If there's a disc in the console, eject it before following these steps. Then on the console, press and hold the Power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds to turn off the console.

( If you have an Xbox Series S or Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, press and hold the Xbox button and the Pair button instead, as your console doesn't have an Eject button.)

Press and hold the Power button and the Eject button until you hear a beep to turn on the console. You'll hear one beep right away and a second beep 10 seconds later. The power light will flash on before the second beep.

Don’t let go until you hear the second beep or see the console start-up in low resolution mode (the Xbox start-up screen will appear slightly pixelated).

If you can now see an image on your screen, go to Settings > General > TV & display options, and then select the resolution that you want from the options under Display.

Let me know if this helps!

    Thanks,
    Kyle

Xbox showing black screen tv makes sound?

Hi there! This is Virginia O.

I understand that you are experiencing issues with your TV showing a black screen.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

Please be guided with the following troubleshoot steps to fix the black screen:

If there's a disc in the console, eject it.

On the console, press and hold the Power button on the front of the console for 10 seconds to turn off the console.

Note If you have an Xbox Series S or Xbox One S All-Digital Edition, press and hold the Xbox button  and the Pair button  instead, as your console doesn't have an Eject button.

In either case, this will start-up your console in low-resolution mode (640 × 480).

    Thank you for your cooperation.

Xbox Series S no longer working, can't contact support

    Hi Ricardo,

I have tried all the steps in the troubleshooting guide via Xbox support.

Unfortunately your method won’t work as my console is an Xbox Series S, not an Xbox One S hence there is no eject button as the console is digital only. You clearly have not read my question fully before answering.

I have now booked a visit to the Microsoft store in regent st, and will take my console in to have a technician look at it.
