How can i increase download time in the xbox app?

Ive recently gotten the xbox gamepass, and have a lot of free space on my computer, so naturally i started downloading games, however i quicly stopped doing this, beacause the downlodspeed was too slow. On other providers, such as steam i usually get 60-100 mb/second, whilst on the xbox app, i usually get 1-8 mb/second. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

I'm sorry that you are going through this problem, although there is no official information to solve this problem, there is a thread in the Microsoft community where a user was presenting a problem similar to the one you mentioned (I think it is common for it to happen) and many people They gave him possible solutions that seemed to work for him.

The download time will depend on your download speed as well as the game file size.

I would recommend using an ethernet cable if you have one to improve the download speed.

First of all I have never seen anyone get 1GB speed on an Xbox. Secondly download speeds depends on how busy the server is, how many people are currently downloading and the game in question. You can choose to download off peak period to get increased speed.

Usually the best way to speed up a download is to have as few devices connected as possible to increase the bandwidth given to your console, but also not using any games or apps while downloading can increase the speed that the download will go at. If
possible you may want to consider switching to the wired/wireless form of connection depending on what one you're currently on to see if that will increase your download speed. Hope this helps!

You can also try pause your download and then continue it and see if it picks up any speed for the next few data download.
