How can I give My child access to adding friends and multiplayer?

Since he's still a child or minor, you cannot access his account privacy settings using his own account. You must create your own Microsoft/Xbox account as an adult. Once created, add his account as a member of the family by going to https://family.microsoft.com/ using your own adult account.

If it's successful, you can change his account privacy settings on https://account.xbox.com/Settings using your own account and not his account.

Oh yeah, right... I'm 17. And I'm turning 18 on October 30, I guess I'll wait for my birthday then.

Or maybe I can ask my parents to give me access to multiplayer by adding me to a Family Group then changing child settings.

is your account Child or Adult generally if the account is set to child your parents will need to allow you to play multiplayer you will need to be 13+ do play multiplayer with out parents approval they will need to access the account from the parent associated
account and the ywill need to give you the access you need

I've an idea - If I added my wife as an adult, can I give her master profile and let my son have my profile (so he keeps his fornite history, friends etc) and I just change his new profile (my old one) into a child and manage his settings that way (and then
I take his old profile and make adult - I don't play anything). Could that be a solution?

Any other solutions? Really appreciate anyone who can help. (objective is to keep his fortnite friends / stuff) but control his playing hours etc through child profile?
