How can I gift Minecraft to my cousin in the Philippines when I'm from Canada?

I'm afraid the gift will not work if your cousin is on a different region, codes are region locked so givers and recipients must always be in the same country or region. What you can do so he can get the game is just send the funds to him via PayPal or bank, so he can purchase it on his own.

In order to purchase a gift card for someone who lives in another region you have to buy it from a another retailer that sells that region code using your credit card. You can't gift it over Xbox. I just brought a gift card for my cousin who lives in Canada
from online and they had no problem redeeming the code.

Hi, thanks for the reply! Also I'm currently in Canada temporarily but haven't changed my region in my microsoft/xbox account yet so it's still set to Philippines (which we're both from), does that count as being in the same region based on what country's set on the account? Thank you.
