    I'm the developer of Charlie Murder. I always have been in support of Xbox adding Charlie Murder to its backwards compatibility program. 9 years on, that doesn't seem likely.

    However, Xbox Ambassadors keep telling people that it's up to be. It's not up to me. It was never up to me.

    If the question is porting it to newer generations, then that is up to me. However, that'll probably cost something in the tens of thousands of dollars, and it would be a completely new product, so your ownership wouldn't be connected to your Xbox360 library -- you'd have to rebuy it.

    And look: this dev team is literally just me. It's not like I have a bunch of developers I can move from one project to another to just take care of this. It's just me, and I'm super busy.

    So, Ambassadors: whatever it takes, can you please get the word out that telling gamers that backwards compatibility is up to the developers is simply wrong? It makes it sound like I've always had the ability to press a button and make it happen, but obstinately refuse to for some strange and possibly wrongheaded reason. I keep having to field emails from people who really really miss the game, who were told on this forum by Xbox Ambassadors that I'm the reason they can't play it, but if enough people email me, I just might change my stony heart. I didn't steal Christmas, you can quote me on that.

    The Ambassador program was originally started so knowledeable gamers could answer questions about issues,problems, etc. the community had.This was done via the forums or a dedicated chat service we had.

    Unfortunately the program has changed for the worse now & they'll let virtually anyone join so now you'll get ambassadors giving out incorrect info thinking they'll get some "brownie points" just by answering.

    The backwards compatibility program has finished now which is what people should be saying & not saying "it's down to the devs"
