    GAMES NOT WORKING ON MY NEW HARD DRIVE

    Hello pls i need help with my laptop.

    I am using a hp elitebook 840 g3 intel i5 6th generation model 8079 version KBC Version 85.79 laptop with intel 520. It's a windows 10 pro 64 bit and version(build) 22H2 (10.0.19045). It has 8gb ram and 500gb hard drive.

    I have been playing and installing games on my system without any issues for years. I used directX9 originally before upgrading to directX11 which i installed without issues.

    Recently, my hard drive crashed and when i went to have it fixed, I was told the health of my hard drive was very low (17%) and thus, it couldn't handle my operating system. So I got a new hard drive, this time a 1TB hard drive.

    After replacing it, I transferred my stuff (including my games) from my old hard drive to the new one. I was able to successfully install my apps back except for my games. When ever i tried to install a similar pop-up appeared saying a file was missing. This is an example;

    Similar pop ups like this appeared whenever i tried to install any game. When I tried installing roblox (which i play alot), it installed but won't launch. i also had issues installing directX ( the microsoft directX file is broken; it has a presentation [.pptx] file instead of an installer [.exe] file). though when i ran a dxdiag i found out i have directX12 though i dont know if it's working.

    Pls i need help with this. I need my games (roblox especially) up and running. I'd appreciate any advice that can possibly help me with my issue.

    hi,

    i tried factory reset with deleting every thing on hard drive, and it worked for a day then started doing same thing any other thing to try ?

    i am thinking it has a bad Hard drive, can i just replace the drive ? if so how do i get the OS back to install on new hard drive ?

    Apparently that worked i need a new Hard drive..the 250 G is screwed up some how..but how do i switch all the data on to a new one?? and how do you know if the bug or W/e doesn't upload to the other Hard drive or do i have to reclaim my GamerTag and start

    Thank you so much, I removed my hard drive and started up my xbox, and it's back to normal and works just fine! So now I need to get my self a new hard drive, how would I go about moving all my data from the old hard drive to a new one?

    Xbox360 Updates Disabling Numerous Games

    It looks like a problem with the removable Hard Drive. With one game - Pacman - I get an update request. When starting that I get a error warning -0185. Which refers to a storage device. Although Pacman is installed on the memory unit of the xbox360 proper.
    When I remove the hard drive, and start up the console and the Pacman game, it no longer asks for an update and the game is playable. On the hard drive itself however everything is working, all the installed games can be run from the hard drive. All other
    Arcade games on the memory unit are also playable with the hard drive inserted ...
