How can I get my save data back?

I regret to inform you, but once you pick which saved data you want to use, the console replaces the current data with the one you have chosen.
Not only that, but this action is permanent and means that it's not possible to undo it.

Additionally, the message appears only when your console detects that the saved data is different from the one you have in the cloud. So, in case you play offline most of the time, you may want to always pick “use local saved data” when opening the game. That way, the cloud progress will be replaced to your local data.

Thank you for that. Please repair the game and then restart your PC before re-launching the game. Let the game sync.

Settings > Apps > Installed Apps > Search for the game > Advanced Options > Repair > Restart your PC.

In cases where saves are lost, sometimes they will gift the player all of the cars they'd unlocked, which is certainly better than nothing. It's worth a shot anyway.
