    How can I get access to my hacked account which had 2 factor authentication enabled?


    Hello, I've just got my account hacked and after filling out the recover form, I got an email which said it got declined because of 2fa. Is there still any way I can get my account back? Thank you.

    If your credit card was linked to the account, I'd suggest contacting your bank right away. It's usually best to cancel the card and get a new one, or at least ask them to block any charges from Microsoft, personally, I’d go with replacing the card just to be safe.

    If you're using that same account to log in to your computer, there's a good chance you'll be logged out (you are using a PIN?). I’d recommend backing up your files and switching to a different account to avoid any issues down the line.

    Sorry to hear your account was hacked. And unfortunately no. This is one of those scenarios where you can't recover the account anymore. The other one is if the hacker deletes the account. Sorry to be so blunt but just trying to save you time searching around.

    Good question, was your original Windows license a digital entitlement linked to your Microsoft account, or did the device come pre-activated (OEM)?

    Hi, Thanks for your honesty. Is it at least possible to get my account suspended because I had my credit card linked to it? Also, will i get logged out of windows after some time?
