How can I fix the issue with my desktop not allowing bluetooth devices to connect?

That's because you need.an third party program

It's.specifically sony ps controllers

Because Sony doesn't like to share controller info or.ps info in general with competitors they require you to install a third party program they Control this was brought up in the ftc trial concerning sony withholding ps5 dev kits from Minecraft Because they didnt want ms to get the info about controllers or sony ps5

Either DS4win or steam

Unless you usr a USB cable then you can use the game pad drivers but you won't have full functions unless you use ds4win or steam

Thank you for your feedback. The bluetooth on my mobile phone is off at all times. I have a bluetooth adapter (usb) on my desktop PC. Can it be causing the issue?

Regarding trying on other devices - i tried the controller wireless and wired on my desktop pc and it didn't have the issue. any suggestions? thanks

Paul from the Xbox Forums Team here to assist with the issue, it would appear that your Xbox One controller isn't connecting via Bluetooth anymore. I definitely understand how frustrating this can be as I also play on PC using my Xbox One controller. When
this issue occurred with myself what I did to fix the issue was have my PC forget the device from the Bluetooth devices window(steps listed below). I hope this helps fix the issue bud. Please let us know how it goes.

Steps on Removing a Bluetooth Device

1. Open Settings.
   
2. Click Devices.
   
   The settings for devices appear.
   
3. Click the device type you want to remove (Connected Devices, Bluetooth, or Printers & Scanners).
   
   The list of devices appears.
   
4. Click the device that you want to remove to select it.
   
5. Click Remove Device.
   
6. Click Yes to confirm that you want to remove this device.
   
7. Close Settings.

No matter how many times i try the TV doesn't recognise the controller as existing. My Samsung Smart TV does not appear to have the "Allow connections from any device" option. Nor does it seem to have an "Add Bluetooth Device" in the Device Connection Manager menu.
