    How can I fix my external hard drive from interfering with all of my games?


    Everytime I would start my game it says it took to long to start. But when I disconnect my hard drive, it would work perfectly. Also whenever I try to install any games the download speed would keep going down and never install fully.

    Have you tried performing a power cycle or trying a different external drive to see if the issue remains? You can also try plugging it into a different USB spot.     I am having trouble with my external hard drive on my xbox one and ever since that new update my xbox one wont recognize that my external hard drive is plugged in I have tried the trouble shooting steps and nothing seems to work and my external hard drive

    Do other games you own that aren't from game pass have the same problem? Do you have an external hard drive. If a game I install to my external hard drive is very laggy I will move it to my internal hard drive which usually fixes the problem.

    I moved my games from the internal hard drive to the external hard drive to see if my games won't kick me to the dashboard I tried it yesterday with a external hard drive I had never used for my Xbox. My games were never on the external hard drive they
    were in the internal hard drive. Also I downloaded trove and it kicks me to the dashboard as well.
