    How can i fix a loose cmos in a lenovo laptop?


    I have a lenovo ideapad gaming 3 ryzen 5 6600h rtx 3050 15ARH7, and the cmos is loose for some reason, the laptop still turns on and works fine, but i still don't want to have the cmos flailing around. What can i fix it with? I have been suggested to use liquid silicon adhesive but im not sure if that would damage anything.

    Yes, I am still having this issue. I cannot register the Lenovo laptop to my devices. Is there a fix for this? I'd like to use an app I bought on the Microsoft Store on the Lenovo laptop, but I can't unless the device is registered under my account.

    Games are crashing after a power failure. (Solved)

    I found the fix, I had to reset the BIOS by pressing the Reset CMOS button. After I did that and reset some settings, the games stop crashing. I have no idea why, but it was something that crossed my mind.
    Glad you have finally resolved it!

    The one thing I almost always forget is resetting the CMOS....such a simple thing yet amazing how many issues it can fix.

    Removing or resetting the CMOS basically resets your BIOS back to it's default state...as you mentioned needing to fiddle with BIOS in the past then it sounds like the BIOS had an issue
