    how can I find my Xbox's Mac address?


    Can I find the mac address for my Xbox without it being active? I have recently purchased a new Xbox, and I need to connect it to the Internet to update the console, here's the conundrum; I live on a military base and the only WiFi is Boingo Wireless, however to use them I have to input the mac address of my Xbox to register it as a device. Is there a way I can locate the mac address without the console being able to access the system settings? Something like a label on the box or console itself that I had missed, or maybe a way to look it up through the Console ID?

    Hi,

    This is a router setting not an Xbox setting. Your model of router should be able to do this.

    Access the router menu

    Choose Setup/Basic-Setup

    Click Static DHCP and enter the mac address of the Xbox, the name you want to give it and the ip address you want to give it
