    How can I ensure my console is no longer in the Insider program?


    Hi, I no longer want to participate Insider program.

    In FAQ's it says: "The same steps apply if you intend to keep your console but no longer wish to participate as an Xbox Insider and would like to unenroll your console from the program. After electing to remove a console, it may take up to 72 hours before the removal is complete, during which time you may still receive console, game, or app updates. As part of the removal process your console may undergo a factory refresh. If a factory refresh is required, your games and apps will not be erased; however, any profiles or system settings saved to the console will need to be restored after the factory refresh is complete."

    Atm when I go to settings and check the version, it says: last update 2020 Nov 7th,10.0.19041.5082(rs_xbox_release_2010.201102-1500).

    But when I checked through offline update method (eject&bind+power on), it says: 19041.3302.amd64fre.vb_release_xbox_dev_2010.201023-1840 so I'm a little confused...

    When I check Insider Hub, my console is no longer there, but is there a way to make sure that my console has left the program?

    I want to make it sure because I'm planning to upgrade to SSD and what I´ve found is there might be some problems coming if I´m still in Insider program when making offline update with OSU1. I'm doing "fresh" install, no cloning.

    Hi there.

    If you'd like to stop participating in the Insider Preview program, you'll want to refer to the

    Xbox Insider Program FAQ     under "I sold my console or no longer wish to participate as an Xbox Insider. How can I stop participating in the Xbox Insider Program?"

    It can take some time for you to be removed from the program as you may need to wait for another Insider Program update in order to stop participating.

    When you purchase your new console if you download the Xbox Insider Hub app on your new console you can then use the app to enrol your new console in the insider program. If you are no longer keeping your old console don't forget to remove it from the insider
    program.

    They wont kick me out of the preview program? i thought u couldnt have it on two.....oh remove myself first from the one console and redownload everything on the new console?

    You should no longer need to use the account that enrolled the console in the Xbox Insider program to remove the console. If you download the Xbox Insider Hub app on the console then on the left hand side of the screen select insider content and you should
    be able to remove the console here.

    If you can't remove the console from the Insider program can you please try posting this in the
    Xbox Insiders Reddit forums for assistance.
