How can I download my xbox profile to my xbox 360 when its os keeps telling me my password...

Unlike other Xbox/Microsoft experiences, the Xbox 360 system requires passwords to be at or under 16 characters long. This could be why you are receiving a "wrong credentials" error.

• May I ask if yours exceeds the 16-character limit?

• To keep your account as secure as possible and avoid shortening your password, you could enable two-step verification and create an "App Password" to use on the Xbox 360 system.

To do so:

- Go to https://account.microsoft.com/security
- Sign in to your Microsoft Account
- Select "Advanced security options"
- Enable two-step verification.
- Scroll down to "App passwords" and select "Create a new app password"
- Use this password to sign in on Xbox 360.

• Are you getting any numeric error codes along with the error message regarding your credentials? There are many reasons why the Xbox 360 system would give you a wrong credentials error, and while most of them are related to your account's security settings, not all are related to the email/password you use to sign in.

I just removed my profile from my XBOX one account and then added it back in with no problem. When I go to play a 360 game and try to download my profile, it keeps telling me that the password is not correct. Please advise.

having a similar problem but no error code. somehow today my profiles and all my games and other saved data were wiped and could 't even try to sign in to xbox live when attempting to download my profile. I had changed my password on live on my laptop and
verified it was changed. It will let me sign in on my laptop but not on my xbox 360. keeps telling me that the password is incorrect but I know it is correct because it lets me sign in on the laptop.

Its telling me email and password are incorrect. My email and password work just fine on my phone and my xbox one. My gamer profile is still on my 360 also. It just wont recognize my email or password! ?

Strange thing is, it knows my password is correct when i enter it on the 'profile download' on my Xbox..because if i enter an incorrect one, it tells me..so the password reset seems to work..

Just cant download the profile!
