    Just tonight I've had to deal with a frightening example of who enforcement should be punishing-he's been harassing me, swearing at me & being quite literal toxic degenerates over nothing. I did nothing to provoke this kind of verbal assault.

    I've reported this one guy who is running a PC xbox app burner account countless times for the appropriate reasons, between him harassing me, being toxic, constantly talking [mod removed] about how I must be 'poor as [mod removed]' & literally saying reprehensible things like:

    [mod removed]

    How is it if I say the F word I get an immediate communications suspension, but this degenerate can attack my mother's virtue in this OBVIOUSLY ToS breaking way & not get punished even faster?!

    I'm honestly trying to just play a game here, but because someone over crossplay has it in their mind to abuse me like this BECAUSE THEY *FEEL LIKE IT* I feel there should be a direct connection to enforcement at our disposal so we can idk....PULL THIS TOXICITY OUT BY THE ROOT?

    I'm sorry if I'm coming on strong but this one guy has been harassing me for over a hour & half now without cease. It's actually lagging my console from how much he's sent. Why don't we have these resources on hand? Didn't Phil Spencer say at E3 a few years ago things like this were going to be more heavily moderated? What happened to that promise???

    Reporting them is the only way to have the enforcement team investigate him.

    The enforcement team don't IP ban a person. Even if they did, they could get a different IP.

    I've been slapped with a comm suspension before, so I know how if you report blacklisted words you instantly get slapped with one. But that doesn't solve the issue of him using a burner account & the problem of WHAT he's saying. He literally just sent me another message as I'm writing this. Is there no way to bring this up to a rep directly? The complete & total disregard for ToS & human decency aside, is it atleast in the power of the enforcement team to IP ban this offender? Honest question that would go real far to help my disquiet if you can answer it.

    No. They can still be banned, just not IP banned. As I said, it's easy to get a new IP address.

    As Smwutches says, they don't IP ban as it's pointless and easy to get a new IP address...as an example, if I want a new IP address, all I need to do is unplug my router for 30 seconds then plug it back in...once it's back on, I have a new IP address (which always annoys me when I need to reset my router for a technical issue) as that's how my ISP works

    Why not? So what you're saying is that if you're playing a game like For Honor over cross play, even though the person is playing on your operating system, they're above moderation?

    This is the kind of thing I take anti-depressants for. Wow.

    I hope you can forgive me for saying, but that doesn't sound fair in any way. This degenerate can get away with saying all that reprehensible things I listed before you edited it out, use the N word, and is just allowed a slap on the wrist for making me feel miserable because he felt like it. When all I wanted to do was play a few matches of a game...

    Consider my faith in the service as a whole shaken.
