How can I connect an old gamertag to my Microsoft.com account?

Thank you for reaching out on the Forums. Are you trying to just use the Gamertag on your new Microsoft account or do you want to transfer all your old data? Transferring game data between accounts is not going to be possible so unfortunately this would
not be an option.

If you have access to your old account you can always change your Primary Alias. By doing this you would be adding your new Microsoft account alias to the old account and then making the new Alias your Primary Alias. To do this follow the steps on the support
article below.

Just keep in mind that if the new Microsoft account has already been used to start an Xbox account you will not be able to go with this option.

Is this a different account your talking about? Like connecting 2 accounts? If so thats not possible, but by default your xbox account with your gamertag is a microsoft account its self so yeah.

the account connected to my old gamertag is a microsoft account, but it doesn't have @outlook or @hotmail) and the new email account that I want to be connected to my old gamertag is also a microsoft account but @gmail, not @outlook or @hotmail

Does that mean that there is no way that I will be able to make available my old Gamertag name in order to change my current gamertag name? Is there no way that I can maybe delete my old Xbox Live account and with that my Gamertag? If this is possible how
do I go about in doing this.

Can someone also explain to me how my Old account as 3 gamertags now
