How can i choose to run a game from my hard drive instead of internal storage?

If you have a game installed on more than one drive (like two different versions of the game), what you can do is go into My Games & Apps and then select the drive you want to use in the Filter options. That should show you the game on the drive you want to use. I think that's the only way available.

If something like Destiny 2 you are doing it wrong if it is a cross gen title then you are definitely doing it wrong

You can.check this under.my.games and apps they are dividee.By type

Now if your internal hdd one says Xbox enhanced or even the one on the external hdd says enhanced you cant run the game.on external hdd

If you are trying.to run the new resident evil.patched games then they wint run on external.hdd

When you say patched you mean next.gen.patched which is moved to.external.storage

If next gen.patched then YOU MUST.move it back onto.storage card or internal to run period

If we are talking about series s is that why you are worried about internal.space ? Unfortunately you do have to move it back onto internal memory to.run.the next gen patch you cannot get around that issue

However with the prices of 512 gig and 1tb cards I'm surprised you didn't get the storage card

In this case, I think there is no other available option. You would need to uninstall the game from the internal storage.
